Index Sales Support

The Swiss Index team is responsible for the overall value chain from product design, implementation and launch, the on-going maintenance, and the sales and account management activities for the indices. Our Sales team is responsible for the client coverage, promotion of existing and new products and services, identification and execution of opportunities and the account management.

Main duties:
  • Support the Sales in the set up and invoicing of all existing and new business accounts
  • Billing of index accounts and contract administration with Sales Managers and clients
  • Consolidation of index-based financial products based on client reports
  • Conduct and develop sales and competitor reporting
  • Monitor of usage of Swiss indices by market participants and manage entitlements of index data to clients and data vendors
  • Managing the sales inbox, ensuring all contract stages are logged in a spreadsheet and all contracts are appropriately booked within each quarter
  • Monitoring and tracking the status of contracts between sales, legal and the customers.
  • Completion of new business contracts and checklists for use in the review of the billing and contract set up
  • Proactively manage ad-hoc requests from clients, the Finance Team and business
Your profile:
  • Commercial apprenticeship and/or higher education in economics, finance or banking
  • At 2 years relevant work experience in invoicing, contract management of indices or market data at stock exchange or data or index provider would be an asset
  • Some knowledge of financial markets and products, particularly around indices would be advantageous
  • Experience with mainframe accounts management systems, ideally SAP & SAP/CRM skills and highly proficient MS Excel skills
  • Experience in supporting Account Management (invoicing, contracts, dunning, credit notes)
  • Some knowledge of accounting or book-keeping would be preferred
  • An ability to work automatously by making sensible, well informed decisions
  • Able to liaise confidently and professionally with sales managers & credit controllers regarding finance queries on sales invoices/ contracts
  • Organized and methodical mind-set and capable of good time management in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Very good language skills German and English
