Data Solutions Analyst

The role will combine maintenance and management of existing client data solutions whilst assisting the UK & Irish sales team to explore and project manage future data solutions for prospective clients. The successful candidate will liaise directly with prospective and existing customers & fund contributors as well as internal team at a local and global level which possibly operate within a matrix organisation. The successful candidate will develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Fund industry, as well as the SIX Financial Information bespoke data solutions : FundsFast, Hedge Fund Pricing and Income Distribution services

Main duties:Reporting to the UK Data Solutions Supervisor, the principal activities include:

  • Project management & on-boarding of future clients onto bespoke data solutions

  • Data analysis of prospective client universes.

  • Accompanying sales executives to meetings with existing and prospective clients in the UK and Ireland

  • Management of FundsFast data for existing clients

  • Management of hedge fund data for existing clients

  • Management of income distribution data for existing clients

  • Building and maintaining good relationships with fund managers and fund administrators

  • Working closely with Xceptor software to improve automation of fund coverage within the UK market

  • Acquisition of data requested by current and future solutions clients

  • Liaising with other SIX Financial Information data teams to maintain the quality and timeliness of FundsFast data

  • Project management of existing solution clients

  • Ongoing consultation with existing solutions clients and SIX Financial Information Development teams

  • Driving local and global initiatives to improve the overall data solutions available to clientsThe employee is expected to carry out any other task reasonably considered to be within the remit of the role. 

Your profile:

Candidates shall have a good working knowledge of financial data instruments and financial markets gained within a similar environment. They will be a team player with experience of working in stakeholder/matrix-style management environment.   Other requirements are:

  •  Strong business analyst skillset;

  • business requirements elicitation, conceptual data analysis and documentation;

  • experience with requirements modelling e.g. UML

  • business solution and impact assessment / gap analysis;

  • Some experience of software development lifecycle management / SDLC project environment (Agile and/or Waterfall) through to UAT, desirable;

  • good analytical and conceptual skills;

  • impeccable English skills (writing, reading, comprehension)
