Business Analyst – Data Intake

SIX Financial Information / Global Data Change Management-Global Data Intake spans seven international locations and is responsible for global market data and associated reference data change requests. The team of business analysts works closely with their international colleagues to monitor provider notifications, work within an internal request/change process and manage stakeholder needs and requirements. This is done via the analysis of data and processing changes and specifications for impact to workflow, data mapping and business and product needs in accordance with data and product quality standards.

Main duties:
  • Responsible for receiving, monitoring and assigning, to the relevant stakeholders, all incoming data source notifications globally and supervise their timely implementation  
  • Provides transparent and timely information about the content, data and status of each change or project to all relevant stakeholders and process participants e.g. change managers. IT and client communication channels.
  • Complete pre-analysis for RCPs/business requests/provider and source mandated changes and implementations- involves the vetting of busines cases and supporting information, statistical and product review of impacted data and systems and costs analysis
  • Take and/or support on complex, high profile projects (multiple stakeholders across several departments with a number of perspectives that need to be blended into the final solution )
  • Perform conceptual analysis to support the timely efficient, qualitative and consistent integration of financial data in order to meet business, client, and compliance requirements   
  • Participate and/or support cross functional global projects and initiatives such as data mapping standards and global business requirements.
Your profile:
  • University- or University of applied science in Finance or related field a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the securities area of a bank or a software provider, ideally in the conceptional field as a Business Analyst
  • Profound experience in the area of Business Analysis and in the usage of different methodical tools (e.g. use cases, etc.). Theoretical understanding and practical experience in modeling and usage of known notations (z.B. UML).
  • Experience in IT or IT-related environment as well as a good understanding for (DB)-technical dependencies an advantage
  • Experience in an agile working environment e.g. with Scrum is an advantage
  • Analytical and conceptional ability to reason
  • Fast comprehension skills as well as accurate and precise mode of operation
  • Engaged, autonomous and solution-oriented personality with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proactive, initiative and communicative teamplayer with the ability to assert oneself
  • Competent and compelling appearence towards very different interfaces and stakeholders
  • Perfect written and spoken English and German skills
