Senior Data Engineer

Zürich | 80-100 % | Referenz 2749

SIX is recruiting data engineers for its public cloud competence center. In this role, you are part of a cross-functional team and responsible for designing, implementing, and consulting on public cloud data science services.

What You Will Do
  • Maintain and support the Cloud Data Science platform as a managed service 
  • Envision and implement the roadmap for the Cloud Data Science platform in close collaboration with the key stakeholders
  • Support and create data ingestions and data pipelines
  • Consult business and IT teams with cloud native data processing designs to fit for data science purposes
What You Bring
  • Hands on experience with building data pipelines on public cloud services on platforms like Microsoft Azure and/or AWS or GCP
  • Knowledge of Hadoop and Spark environments, with the ability to optimize the cloud cost 
  • Knowledge of software development and data transformation languages like Python, SQL and Scala,  CI-CD, and automation concepts to build system critical data processing pipelines
  • Basic knowledge of cloud foundation services (networking, security, storage and IAM), their operation and configuration options
  • Open mind and proactive attitude for continuous learning and development, customer focus
  • English mandatory, German is an advantage
