Infrastructure Architect

As an Infrastructure Architect you will drive and contribute to the strategic direction by designing and delivering multiple modern infrastructure solutions and services. Working closely with both Platform Delivery and Infrastructure teams, you will align internal capabilities with the needs of the business. Using your stakeholder management skills, you will seek to influence leadership teams across all technical domains to ensure expertise is continually assessed and improved

What You Will Do
  • Drive SDX infrastructure architecture approach and general engineering methodologies  
  • Identify opportunities for infrastructure transformation and innovation by working closely with all infrastructure technology domains   
  • Ensure all new designs meet company standards and follow the approval process whilst ensuring new improvements are updated on a regular basis 
  • Take responsibility for design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions and services 
  • Participate in the delivery of new technical and non-technical specifications 
  • Participating in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling technology strategy 
What You Bring
  • Degree level qualification in a technology related subject together with experience in a senior technical lead role is desirable  
  • Deep technical infrastructure architecture experience across storage, networking (inc. SDN/Firewalls), Compute and related security disciplines 
  • Experience of modern platform stacks such as Azure, Micro Service Architecture in addition to OpenShift / Kubernetes is essential 
  • Familiarity of distributed systems and their relationship with underlying infrastructure platforms 
  • Highly proactive work ethic together with demonstrable experience of deploying infrastructure solutions 
  • Experience of working within a regulated, financial services business and/or a financial market infrastructure organisation is highly desirable
