SIX employs 3,831 staff worldwide with 55 different nationalities, of whom 1,193 are women and 2,638 are men. Demographic change, skills shortages and increased expectations placed on employers are just a few of the challenges that we confront in winning the loyalty of well-trained and motivated employees. SIX wishes to increase the share of well-educated young employees, to achieve a more balanced gender ratio and strengthen further the internationalization of its staff.
SIX Focuses Its Strategy and Simplifies Its Organizational Structure
In November 2017, the Board of Directors passed a resolution approving strategic and organizational changes. This realignment will strengthen the competitiveness of SIX and the Swiss financial centre. SIX will focus consistently on infrastructure services for shareholders and the financial centre in securities, payments and financial information, which are the core business areas of SIX.
On 1 January, the Board of Directors appointed Jos Dijsselhof, 52, as the new CEO of SIX. He has set himself an overarching goal: work with employees to make SIX an even stronger company.
Through new working time models SIX is fulfilling a desire on the part of many employees for greater flexibility. For instance, all employees in Switzerland can buy up to ten additional days of vacation per year. Our ratio of part-time employees is 17%.

Apprenticeships and Vocational Training

SIX Social Days
SIX has been organizing volunteer days for its employees for many years now. In recent years, the Social Days were only open to employees in Switzerland, but this year, for the very first time, they were also held in Luxembourg and London.
