SIX is the market leader for electronic billing in Switzerland. It is the only provider offering an interface with over 90 Swiss banks. SIX has already successfully operated the Paynet network for VAT-compliant electronic bills with numerous major clients for many years.
SERAFE AG will be responsible for the notification and collection of the new radio and TV fees in Switzerland, which do not depend on the nature or number of devices, as of 2019. The company won an open bidding process, as already announced in March 2017 by the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC). The partnership between SERAFE AG and SIX Paynet AG will connect SERAFE via Paynet Ltd, allowing it to serve its clients using the eBill. By December 2018 customers will be able to register with their bank or via PostFinance for SERAFE AG using the electronic billing eBill.
