Due to the current development with the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the related directives of the French Government, Bucher Industries has decided to temporarily shut down production sites in France.
The Group made this decision to protect the health and safety of its employees and to support the governmental efforts to reduce transmission. Furthermore, one production site each in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Wuhan, China, are temporarily closed.
In France, critical activities such as customer support and spare part deliveries will be maintained. Resumption of operations is planned for 1 April 2020 and will depend on the further development of the pandemic and the respective decisions by the government.
For the time being, the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic is unclear and the effect on Bucher Industries’ business is unpredictable. A guidance for 2020 is presently not possible. As in previous down-turns, Bucher Industries has implemented measures to ensure its profitability and liquidity.
