Types of bonds

Exchangeable bonds

Exchangeable bonds are bonds which investors have the right to exchange for shares in a company other than the issuing company. These instruments can be used by the issuer to reduce holdings, for example. The SWX Swiss Exchange classifies exchangeable bonds as derivatives.
