On 22 November 2017, another edition of «ETF Basiswissen» took place - for the first time
in the new SIX ConventionPoint at the headquarters of SIX in Zurich. After an introduction by Danielle Reischuk,
Senior ETF/ETP Sales Manager SIX Swiss Exchange, the representatives of the ETF Basiswissen expert network
provided valuable knowledge to the 30 participants.
First, Marco Infuso (ComStage ETFs) spoke (in German) on the topic of «Die Bausteine der
Indexnachbildung - synthetischer oder physischer ETF?», followed by Adrian Steiner (UBS) talking
about «Währungsbesicherte ETFs - ist das nötig?» Furthermore, Danielle Reischuk explained
in her presentation «Die Nadel im Heuhaufen - wie vergleiche ich ETFs?» the best way to
search and selected ETFs online.
Investing in Switzerland with ETFs
Following the event for private investors, another «ETF/ETP Roundtable» for professional
investors took place as well, covering the topic «Investing in Switzerland with ETFs». The
panel with Simon Stalder (Head of ETF and Index Investments EAM & Family Offices Switzerland, iShares),
Adrian Steiner (Passive & ETF Specialist Sales Schweiz & Liechtenstein, CAIA, UBS), Levente Kulcsar
(Head of ETF Sales Europe, First Trust) and Christian Bahr (Head Market Data & Analytics SIX Swiss Exchange)
was moderated by Claudia Gabriel, economic editor at NZZ. During the ensuing networking apéro in the
Swiss Finance Museum, the 40 participants
were able to exchange views and deepen the topic in personal conversations.
