Head of Strategy

The Strategy team is responsible for driving corporate strategy and focusing on commercial due diligence and pricing for SDX solutions which qualify for inclusion in the overall SDX product portfolio. To be a successful Head of Strategy you will need to have both commercial acumen and a broad understanding of the vision for how distributed ledger technology can be rolled out to re-platform the capital markets industry as it transitions to digital assets.

What You Will Do
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of strategically relevant external and internal factors such as development of the relevant market, customer needs, competitors and regulatory developments. 
  • Performing a continuous derivation of the impact of factor changes on the existing business model and the adopted strategy of SDX 
  • Management of the (annual) strategy process and mid-term planning for SDX, i.e. assessment of the initial situation, development of strategic scenarios and corresponding impacts as well as necessary adjustments to the business model and strategy including action planning together with management and designated further representatives of the organization. 
  • Derivation of the financial medium-term plan together with the CFO / finance department and coordination with the SIX strategy function as part of the group-wide strategy process 
  • Initiation of strategy dialogs with management and relevant representatives during the year in the event of observable rapid or unexpected changes in the environment and/or relevant factors with the aim of agile adjustment of the business model and strategy if necessary, including action planning 
  • Monitoring of the implementation of the adopted measures for strategy implementation 
What You Bring
  • Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree educated and demonstrable knowledge of institutional capital markets 
  • At least 8 years of experience in strategic development, preferably from a combination of experience in strategy at a leading management consultancy, together with several years of experience in fast growing companies in emerging markets and / or start-ups 
  • Relevant experience in the trading and/or post-trading area together with experience and/or knowledge of distributed ledger technologies / crypto / digital assets   
  • Customer-oriented and agile thinking and acting with the ability to quickly change
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mindset 
  • Ability to communicate knowledge and structure complex issues in an understandable way
