Trading volumes continued their positive development. With CHF 112,8 bn in February 2024, turnover was almost 32% higher than in February 2023. Compared to the previous month, the number of transactions remained stable, with 4,108,158, while all segments except for equities recorded an increase. 

The Swiss blue-chip index SMI continued its mild upward trend in 2024, rising by 0.8% to 11,438.9 points in February. This represents an increase of 2.7 per cent since the beginning of the year.
