In November,  the SMI recorded a strong month: the Swiss blue chip index was up 4.9% and reached 12,834 points, a YTD performance of 10.6%. The Spanish blue chip index IBEX 35 progressed 2.1% and concluded the month at 16,372 points, up 41.2% YTD.  

In terms of trading turnover, equities in Switzerland already surpassed the entire last year in mid November. Overall, turnover passed the 1 trillion mark. With EUR 49 million traded in November, turnover on BME was 36% higher than in November 2024. 

In terms of new clients, the Swiss stock exchange welcomed Leverage Shares Limited as a new ETPs issuer. Their triple-leveraged long and short ETPs on Bitcoin and Ethereum are the world’s first crypto ETPs of their kind to be listed on a primary exchange. In Spain, BME welcomed two new companies: Masa Rental and GreyMile joined BME Scaleup as the 11th and 12th company to join BME's growth markets in 2025.
