SIX Swiss Exchange Bell Ringing for Gender Equality & 10th Anniversary Women in ETFs

A lack of data on women leads to an unintentional bias in many scientific studies. This phenomenon is also known as the "gender data gap":

Men are the norm - this equation applies not only to crash test dummies used to simulate car accidents, but also in healthcare, where medicine is primarily tested on men, or in public spatial planning, where traffic routes are mostly geared towards the movement behavior of men.

A lot has happened on this topic in Switzerland recently: since 1981, Switzerland has been committed to gender equality under the Federal Constitution. In 2021, the Federal Council adopted the first national gender equality strategy 2030, which explicitly formulates the goal of gender-specific data collection in federal statistics and studies. But has this solved all the problems?

Celebrate International Women's Day with Women in ETFs and ring the bell with us to raise awareness for this issue. Look forward to an exciting panel discussion with three successful women who will talk about the challenges and solutions regarding the gender data gap.
