CEO

Bjørn Sibbern has been the CEO of SIX since January 2025. Previously, since joining SIX in January 2024, he led the stock exchange business as Global Head Exchanges and a Member of the Executive Board. Bjørn Sibbern has experience managing large teams in the fields of trading, funds, post-trade, listings, IPOs, data, index business, and technology. Before joining SIX, he served as Executive Vice President and President of European Markets at Nasdaq. In this role, he led the Nasdaq markets and exchanges across the Nordic and Baltic regions. He was also responsible for trading, listing, clearing, settlement, and the data business in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and the Baltic nations. Prior to this, Bjørn was Executive Vice President and responsible for Nasdaq global data, data & analytics and index business working out of Nasdaq headquarter in New York. Before joining Nasdaq, Bjørn Sibbern was CEO at E*TRADE Bank Denmark from 2006 to 2008 and held key roles at OMX and Stocknet Norway. The Danish citizen holds an Executive Master in Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Finance, and a Master in Business Administration and Commercial Law from Copenhagen Business School.

Global Head Exchanges ad interim

Tomas Kindler has been interim Global Head Exchanges and a Member of the Executive Board of SIX since January 2025. He joined SIX in 2011 as Head x-clear and subsequently held different business management positions within the Securities Services and Exchanges business units. Since June 2024, he has been Head Operating Office Exchanges with overall responsibility for business management, operations, and change across the exchanges of SIX. Before joining SIX, Tomas Kindler was managing director at Link Up Markets in Madrid, Spain, from 2008 to 2010. Between 1999 and 2008 he held various positions at Deutsche Börse Group in strategic projects and marketing & sales. Tomas Kindler began his career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting. The Swiss and German citizen holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, Durham and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Hamburg University of Technology. He has also completed further education in management and governance at the IMD Business School and INSEAD Business School.

Head Securities Services ad interim

José Manuel Ortiz-Repiso has been interim Head of Securities Services and a Member of the Executive Board since February 2025. He has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry and most recently led the Clearing and Repo Operations at SIX, where he managed operations across Madrid and Zurich since 2021. Prior to this, Jose Manuel Ortiz-Repiso had a distinguished 22-year career at BME, where he held several key positions, including Head Clearing. His extensive experience at BME also includes serving as the Director of the CEO's Office and Chief of Staff, as well as Back-Office Coordinator. A Spanish citizen, Jose Manuel Ortiz-Repiso holds an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and a degree in Economic Sciences from Universidad CEU San Pablo.

Head Financial Information

Marion Leslie joined SIX Group in January 2020 as Head Financial Information and a member of the SIX Executive Board. As Head Financial Information, Marion Leslie leads the SIX global data business, serving financial institutions worldwide with critical data and insights to support their clients. She is also the representative on the Executive Board for Sustainability.

Leading global businesses and operations at scale, with a strong emphasis on data and technology, are the hallmarks of her career in financial services. Prior to joining SIX, Marion Leslie was Managing Director, Enterprise at Refinitiv (London Stock Exchange) with responsibility for delivering market data, platforms and services to the global financial markets. Before that, she held a variety of executive roles within London Stock Exchange Group, having joined Reuters in 1994. Marion Leslie holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in French and German from the University of Cambridge. She was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in European Finance by Financial News every year from 2020-2024, was listed as one of Swiss Finance’s Women to Watch in 2022, and was included in the World Federation of Exchanges Women Leaders List 2021.

Head Banking Services

Dieter Goerdten has headed the Banking Services business unit since December 2022. He previously had been in charge of the Banking Services business unit’s Products & Solutions department since September 2018. He earned a degree in economics from the University of Hamburg, holds a Master of Advanced Studies degree in corporate finance from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Northwestern Switzerland, and has many years of international managerial experience in the Swiss financial sector. His professional background also includes career experience in the airline industry (at Deutsche Lufthansa in Frankfurt, Cologne, and Hamburg) and in the field of international development cooperation (at the German Development Cooperation Agency), with multiyear stints in Costa Rica and Ethiopia. In Switzerland he has held various management roles at UBS, PostFinance, the St. Gallen-based Bankenberatungszentrum, and the consultancy firm Boxcon. Dieter Goerdten served also as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Euro Clearing Bank in Frankfurt.

CFO

Daniel Schmucki took up his role as CFO of SIX in March 2017. He joined SIX from Flughafen Zürich AG, where he had been Chief Financial Officer since 2008. In addition to all the traditional finance functions, he was also responsible for revenue management, information and communication technology, risk and compliance management and central procurement as well as M&A, including the operation of all the company’s global commitments. Daniel Schmucki joined Flughafen Zürich AG as Head Controlling at the end of 1999. In 2002 he also took over responsibility for the Treasury and Investor Relations departments and for the expansion of the company’s international airport activities. Before joining Flughafen Zürich AG, he held various management positions in the field of finance within Germany’s Bosch Group, such as Head Division Controlling at Scintilla AG and Chief Financial Officer of Robert Bosch Internationale Beteiligungen AG. Daniel Schmucki holds a Federal Diploma as an expert in accounting and controlling.

CIO

David Brupbacher has been Chief Information Officer and member of the Executive Board of SIX since July 2024. In this role, which he already held ad interim in 2023, he is responsible for the development and operation of all IT services at SIX. Previously, David Brupbacher headed IT Infrastructure and Operations at SIX Group since May 2015. From 2009 to 2015, he was a member of the Executive Board of SIX Interbank Clearing Ltd as Head of IT Management. Before joining SIX in 2001, he worked for various companies in the field of payment transactions. David Brupbacher is a Swiss citizen and holds an Executive MBA from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and a degree in computer science from the Swiss School of Business Informatics.

CRO

Markus Gumpfer has been Chief Risk Officer and a Member of the Executive Board of SIX since February 2025. Prior to this, he led the risk management function of SIX from 2018 as Global Head Risk Management and Deputy Chief Risk Officer. From 2015 to 2018, Markus Gumpfer was Head Risk and Compliance for SIX Securities Services. He joined SIX from Man Group plc in Switzerland, where from 2001 to 2014 he held various positions in Switzerland, the US and UK, most recently as chief operating officer for Man FRM. From 1999 to 2001, he was a business consultant with Systor AG, and from 1998 to 1999, he served in and led market risk control functions at Bank J. Vontobel & Co. Markus Gumpfer began his professional career in 1986 with a banking apprenticeship at Credit Suisse, where he stayed on until 1998, first as a trader and controller and then in internal audit roles. A Swiss citizen, Markus Gumpfer holds an Executive MBA from IMD Lausanne and a degree in business and economics from HWV Zurich (Betriebsökonom HWV). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.

Chief Human Resources Officer

Hannah Zaunmüller has been responsible for Human Resources (HR) since joining SIX as a member of the Extended Executive Board on 1 February 2021. Since 1 May 2024 she is a member of the Executive Board. She has many years of management experience in the field of HR in various industries. After completing her university degree (Master of Economics) in the Netherlands and subsequent doctorate (Dr. rer. Pol.) at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, she started her career at Deutsche Post DHL in 2005. In 2009 she moved to Swiss Post, where she was initially Head of HR Strategy and Governance, before becoming Head of Talent and then Head of Development. In 2017, Hannah Zaunmüller took on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Extended Group Executive Board at Ringier. As such, she was responsible for the entire HR of the Ringier Group with companies in 19 countries.

General Counsel

Fabienne-Anne Rehulka joined SIX on 10 June 2024 as General Counsel and member of the Extended Executive Board. Since 1 April 2025 she is a member of the Executive Board. She leads the Legal and Regulatory functions of SIX Group.

Fabienne-Anne Rehulka is a French citizen and UK qualified lawyer. She began her professional career at the law firm Allen & Overy LLP in London before joining Swiss Re in 2008. At Swiss Re, she held the positions of General Counsel for Reinsurance EMEA and General Counsel for Life Capital and iptiQ. Most recently, she was a consultant in the Financial Services and Legal, Compliance and Governmental Affairs practices of the global leadership and executive search firm Spencer Stuart in Zurich. Fabienne-Anne Rehulka has worked in Australia, the UK, France and Switzerland.

Head Corporate Communications & Marketing

Alain Bichsel has headed up Marketing & Communications since April 2018. As part of this role, he is responsible for marketing, corporate communications and brand management at SIX. At the end of 2014, Alain Bichsel was appointed Head Corporate Communications at SIX, where he had already been responsible for Group-wide media relations since 2011. Prior to this, he was Head of Communications at FINMA (previously the Swiss Federal Banking Commission) from 2007 onward. Before joining FINMA, he held various management positions in Communications at the Swiss Bankers Association and a number of private organizations. Alain Bichsel is a Swiss national and holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Basel, Switzerland.
