The two ETFs listed today are the AB Global Research Advanced Equity Portfolio UCITSETF and the AB Global Disruptors Portfolio UCITSETF. These represent the next phase of AB’s European active UCITS ETF expansion following the listing of three fixed income UCITS ETFs at the Swiss Stock Exchange in May.
AB’s fixed income ETFs provide diversified access to global, US dollar and euro corporate bond markets, leveraging the firm’s systematic fixed income platform and deep research expertise. The newly listed equity ETFs complement this offering by providing differentiated access to global equity opportunities through AB’s active investment approach, combining fundamental, quantitative, and thematic investing.
With these listings, SIX further broadens its offering of fixed income and equity ETFs for Swiss and international investors. Currently, 37 ETF issuers offer more than 2,200 ETFs on the Swiss stock exchange. During the first five months of this year, the ETF segment recorded an on-book trading turnover of CHF 42.1 million with 1.9 million trades – setting a new record. These figures represent a 43.8% increase in trading turnover and a 40.6% rise in the number of transactions versus the same period in the previous year.
Peter Leffler, Head of Switzerland Retail, AllianceBernstein, comments: “The expansion of our Active UCITS ETF range at SIX Swiss Exchange marks an important step in building our active ETF platform and offers Swiss clients further optionality to access our strategies. We aim to continue to grow our ETF capabilities by introducing solutions that reflect both global investment insight and local market needs.”
Danielle Reischuk, Senior ETFs & ETPs Sales Manager, SIX Swiss Exchange, adds: “Following its recent launch as an ETF issuer at SIX Swiss Exchange, AllianceBernstein is already expanding its offering with additional listings, broadening access to actively managed and systematic equity and fixed income strategies and enhancing choice and efficiency for investors in Switzerland and beyond. This development also reinforces Swiss Stock Exchange’s position as one of Europe’s most dynamic and diverse ETF marketplaces.”
