The list of Switzerland’s ‘30 most important people’ in the market for structured products have once again been revealed in this year’s edition of the ‘Jahrbuch’. More than 600 industry professionals, asset managers and business journalists voted for the 30 most important ‘structurers’ of the industry. Among them are two from our very own SIX Swiss Exchange: André Buck (Rank 3), Global Head Sales & Relationship Management, and Sébastien Neukom (Rank 20), Head Structured Products Sales. This is a significant recognition of their work and expertise, both from the industry as a whole and from their Swiss peers.

Deeply Rooted in the Industry

André has been Chairman of the Structured Products Commission since 2016 and also served as a jury member of the Swiss Derivative Awards from 2017 to 2020. His experience also took him to Hong Kong, where since 2018 he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the international structured products company Contineo (see news on strategic partnership).

Sébastien took over the jury work for the Swiss Derivative Awards from André last year and has been an active member of the SSPA working group ‘Retail’ since 2019.

André Buck, Global Head Sales & Relationship Management, comments on the nominations: “It is a great honor to have been recognized for my work by clients, industry representatives and journalists. SIX Swiss Exchange has played a major role in developing and shaping the industry over the past years. These re-nominations of Sébastien and myself underline the fact that the path we have chosen is the right one and that by actively working with market participants we can move the industry forward”.

It is a great honor to have been recognized for my work by clients, industry representatives and journalists.

Sébastien Neukom, Head Structured Products Sales, adds: “In close cooperation with our customers, we have significantly developed the framework conditions of our trading platforms, which has led to a marked increase in trading and listing activities. Being chosen as one of the top 30 experts in the industry once again, makes me genuinely proud and motivates me to take on the future challenges of the market”.

Elected by Leading Representatives of the Structured Products Business

The Top 30 are elected by a pre-defined list of 600 voters from the structured products industry. This list is composed of leading buy-side representatives, i.e. professional investors, leading representatives of the sell-side, i.e. issuers, and financial journalists. Each of these voters can cast a maximum of 10 votes on who they consider to be among the most important people in the market for structured products in Switzerland.

The Swiss Structured Products Yearbook 2022 (in German only) offers interviews such as the interview with Markus Gutzwiller, Head CONNEXOR Sales, on the ongoing success of the reference data platform CONNEXOR, as well as other specialist articles and a large selection of key figures and charts on market shares and rankings.
