May has been an extraordinary month for capital raising, with three listings across the exchanges of SIX: TSK joined the main market of BME, Andino listed on BME Growth, and dsm-firmenich joined SIX Swiss Exchange by establishing a dual-listing. Furthermore, ACS and Naturgy used the Accelerated Bookbuild offerings to raise a combined volume of over EUR 5 bn in Spain. Also on BME, the fixed-income market AIAF registered the repatriation of Banco de Sabadell by admitting its Euro Medium Term Note program with a nominal amount of EUR 20 bn. 

A major milestone was reached on 29 May by passing the mark of 100,000 tradable structured products on SIX Swiss Exchange for the first time. Over the course of the month, over 25,000 new products were issued, pushing the total to almost 134,000 at the end of May, a YTD increase of 75%. Furthermore, PRETIUM Invest AG was welcomed as a new investment fund issuer at SIX Swiss Exchange. 

In turms of trading turnover, SIX saw double-digit growth across both exchanges, with a total trading volume of CHF 144.5 bn, a plus of 10.8% YOY. In both markets, the main benchmarks were up, the SMI by 3.1% to 13,542.7points and the IBEX 35 by 3.3% to 18,363.0 points.
