B1G Numbers October 2026: Key Figures from Exchanges

In September, the SMI rose by 7.1%, reaching a new all-time high of 14,810.7 points on the last day of the month. Meanwhile, the Spanish blue chip index IBEX 35 concluded the month at 18,653.0 points, down 4% from September. The overall trading turnover reached CHF 1.6 tn at the end of October, 15.2% more than in the first ten months of 2025. The YTD turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange increased by 9.9% and on BME Exchange by 29.9% .

A record was reached by CONNEXOR: the services exceeded last year's total of 2.9 million product uploads. SIX Swiss Exchange also welcomed the fifth new company in 2026. The shares of Swiss cloud pioneer Infomaniak started trading with an opening price of CHF 56.00 per share, with a resulting market capitalization of approximately CHF 262 mn.
