Vocational Training in IT
Would you enjoy starting your career at a multifaceted IT company? The exciting technological environment at SIX offers you the opportunity to discover your talents and develop them further.
The vocational training in computer science is professional, practice-oriented, and broadly based. You get to know the various areas of SIX and gain exciting prospects for the future: Once you have completed your apprenticeship, a career within the company is yours for the taking.
As a system technician you are responsible for setting up and maintaining IT infrastructures. Depending on your area of activity, you test servers, networks, PCs, and software. You may also be involved in writing your own programs or extending equipment configurations. Last but not least, you train users and support them as needed.
As an application developer you write programs, for example for accounting, production planning, or payment transactions. You assess the problem, develop potential solution approaches, and outline their advantages and disadvantages. Your job, of course, is to program the optimal solution. Before we implement it, you put it through its paces.
