The SIX headquarters are located in Zurich (Switzerland). The majority of our workforce is located in our home markets of Switzerland and Spain, but as an international company we have 27 offices in 19 different countries.

Our employees can benefit from our Hybrid Working Model, which allows up to 40% remote work annually (depending on type of work and team arrangements ), with office days including either Mondays or Fridays. Full-remote working is not allowed.

Yes, very good communication skills in English (verbal and written) are required for most positions. As an international company, most of our employees work in global teams and communicate in English with colleagues and clients from different countries. Additional languages might be required depending on the position/location.

Application: We only accept direct applications on our website, which should at a minimum include a CV. Further documents such as cover letter, diplomas and reference letters (for Switzerland) are a plus.

Profile review: Our Talent Acquisition team will review, together with the responsible Hiring Manager, your application, based on the alignment with our values and the qualifications needed for success in the role. The decision to move forward or withdraw from the process will be communicated by email or telephone.

Interview: If your application is successfully reviewed, we will invite you to a first interview with the hiring manager where you will learn more about the role. Expect questions about your skills, work history, and situational scenarios. Generally, the process will consist of 2 to 3 interviews. Depending on the position, they will take place online or in person. For some positions, it’s also possible that you will receive a use case to prepare or an individual assessment.

Offer: If you successfully complete the interview process, we will send you a job offer and discuss the important points of the contract.

Welcome: During your first days at SIX you will receive a welcoming orientation that introduces you to our culture, policies, and team dynamics. You will meet your new colleagues and receive information about your role, tools and responsibilities. There is also a global Welcome Day for all new colleagues to get to know each other better. The Welcome Day takes place in Zurich for the Swiss based employees. Other locations are invited to join remotely.

Our internship positions are continuously published on our careers page throughout the year. There are therefore no fixed application deadlines. It's best to check our careers page regularly to make sure you don't miss out on any positions. 

It all depends on the area in which you are doing your internship. We offer internships in a wide variety of departments at SIX. However, it is always important to us that you learn as much as possible and gain meaningful insight into the working world.

The timeline can vary, but we aim to respond to all applications within two weeks. The entire process, from application to offer, typically takes about four to six weeks.

We always recommend focusing on one position. Nevertheless, it may be possible to be equally interested in different tracks. If you are applying for more than one position, it is best to explain this in your cover letter. Either way, we will process your application for only one position based on our evaluation.

We offer various coaching and mentoring opportunities for all our young talents at SIX. However, you will not have your own dedicated “mentor” in the internship right from the start. Your supervisor will act as your line manager and take on this role indirectly.

The SIX hybrid working model also applies to interns. Nevertheless, we recommend that especially young talents spend more time in the office to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from colleagues and build their network within SIX.

In addition to the hybrid working model, there is a coaching and mentoring program specifically for young talents that you can join if interested. We also offer various training courses through our SIX Academy to enhance your professional skills. Collaboration is one of our core values, and we live it! We have the NextGen Community for all SIX employees who are at the beginning of their careers. The community regularly organizes networking events, lunch lotteries, and many other activities to connect early-career professionals.

The internship is a fixed-term employment contract, and there is generally no plan for subsequent employment. Nevertheless, there are often possibilities for permanent positions after the internship. This makes it all the more important to expand your network during the internship. Around 40% of interns continue with us directly after their internship.

Our internship positions are offered for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 12 months. 

No, an internship position is typically not offered for longer than 12 months.

In order to apply, you need to have a completed (or to be completed by summer) Bachelor's or Master's degree from a university or a university of applied sciences. Besides that, initial work experience (e.g., internships) and English at level C1 are required. 

The application process is roughly divided into two parts. It starts when you apply for the advertised position. If your CV meets our requirements, the Young Talents Manager will call you to clarify initial questions over the phone. For example: Does the workload match your degree program? How flexible do you think you will be? When can you start? If this phone call is successful, you will be invited to a virtual interview with the People Head and the Young Talents Manager. Depending on the position, there may be a second interview where you will complete a small case study or get to know the team.

Please upload a well-structured CV, your university certificates, and reference letters from previous employers. A motivation letter is not mandatory but can be advantageous in our decision-making process.

We offer various coaching and mentoring opportunities for all our young talents at SIX. However, you will not have your own “mentor” from the start. Your People Head will provide on-the-job training, and the SIX Young Talents Manager will coach you on career-related issues.

At SIX, we have annual working hours. This means that we agree on an annual workload with you prior to signing the contract. This arrangement allows you to work less or not at all during exam periods and more during semester breaks. You can therefore utilize your accrued overtime or negative hours to organize your workload individually and flexibly.

In addition to the annual working hours, there is a coaching and mentoring program specifically for young talents that you can sign up for if interested. We also offer various training courses through our SIX Academy to enhance your professional skills. Collaboration is one of our core values, and we live it! We have the NextGen Community for all SIX employees who are early in their careers. The community regularly organizes networking events, lunch lotteries, and many other activities to connect career starters. Usually, your contractual workload remains the same for the duration of your employment. However, in certain cases, a workload adjustment may be possible after consulting with the SIX Young Talents Manager and the People Head.

Full-time positions may be considered towards the end of your studies or contract; However, this depends on current demand. You also have the opportunity to apply for the international Graduate Program upon completing your Bachelor's or Master's degree. You can find more information about the Graduate Program here.

Most of our working student contracts are open-ended. Once you have completed your studies, the contract may be terminated, or you can explore new internal opportunities. In certain cases, such as for specific projects, Working Students are also employed for a fixed term. If you wish to continue working as a Working Student after this period at SIX, the SIX Young Talents Manager can assist you in finding further employment opportunities.

The application process starts beginning of March. The Graduate Program itself starts on October 1st and runs for 18 months.

In order to apply, you need to have a completed (or to be completed by summer) Bachelor's or Master's degree from a university or a university of applied sciences. Besides that, initial work experience (e.g., Internships) and English at level C1 are required. Furthermore, a valid work permit for the specific country you are applying to is a must. Additional specific requirements per Graduate track are mentioned in the job advertisement.

The application process is divided into three parts. It starts with applying for the Graduate Program, and if your CV matches our expectations, you will be asked to complete an online assessment. After this, you will be invited to a virtual interview with the SIX Young Talents Manager. In the final step, you will be invited to an on-site interview with your future mentor and the SIX Young Talents Manager. In this interview, you will prepare a case and present it to us. Afterwards, we will ask you a few questions, and you will have time to discuss with your mentor.

Please upload a well-structured CV, your university certificates, and reference letters from previous employers. A motivation letter is not mandatory but can be advantageous in our decision-making process.

We offer various coaching and mentoring opportunities for all our young talents at SIX. Each Graduate is assigned an experienced mentor who will accompany you throughout the duration of the program. Normally, your first placement will be in the same field as your mentor. In addition, he or she will support you in your career development and help you build your network within SIX.

The SIX hybrid working model also applies to Graduates. Nevertheless, we recommend that especially young talents spend more time in the office to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from colleagues and build their network within SIX.

In addition to the hybrid working model, as a graduate you will have a personal mentor who will provide you with optimal support in your career development for your chosen track. You can also gain your first experience abroad for three months in the “International Assignment”. We also offer various training courses through our SIX Academy to enhance your professional skills. We always recommend focusing on one position. Nevertheless, it may be possible to be equally interested in different tracks. So, if you are applying for more than one position, it is best to explain this in your motivation letter. Either way, we will then process your application for only one track based on our evaluation. In May, you will be informed if you have been chosen for the Graduate Program.

No preparation is required for the assessments. The content of each case study is tailored to the corresponding track. You will receive further information on this during the application process.

Towards the end of your Graduate Program, you will discuss with the Young Talents Manager the possibilities of a suitable permanent position within SIX. Whenever possible, our aim is to offer Graduates a permanent position at SIX. 

Our apprenticeships positions will be posted on our careers page end of July. You will find the open apprenticeship positions here from the summer onwards.

Your application for an apprenticeship at SIX includes the following documents:

• Copies of certificates from the entire upper school

Unfortunately not. As of now we only accept applications through our online application tool.

We recommend that all applicants focus on one apprenticeship. However, it can always happen that you are equally interested in two different apprenticeships. In this case, you should explain your motives in more detail in your letter of motivation.

The selection process (review of the documents) starts directly after the summer holidays. If we find your application interesting and you match our expectations, you will be invited to a selection day. On the selection day, you will solve various tasks either alone or together with other applicants in a group. There will also be a short interview with the responsible tutor of the apprenticeship and someone from HR. In addition, you will also get to know SIX as an apprenticeship company and spend the breaks with our current apprentices. After a successful selection day, you may soon be part of our team.
