The highest turnover on a single trading day was recorded on 20 April, which saw securities worth a total volume of CHF 8.4 billion changing hands. This was a witch day – usually the third Friday of the month – which is when futures and options expire. 4 April was the trading day on which the highest number of transactions was conducted, at 318,302. The stock that generated the highest turnover during the reporting month was Nestle N, which was also the most-traded security.
