The highest turnover on a single trading day was recorded on 4 August, which saw securities worth a total volume of CHF 6.4 billion changing hands. The highest number of trades was recorded on 11 August, with 345,417 transactions The stock that generated the highest turnover during the reporting month was ROCHE GS with CHF 8.6 billion; NOVARTIS N was the most traded stock with 354,913 transactions.

In products with crypto currencies as underlyings, trading turnover in August 2020 increased by 55% to reach CHF 77.4 million – the third-highest turnover this year. The number of trades increased by 44% over the previous month to 3,678, the highest number since January 2018. In total, 97 products on crypto currencies were on the Swiss Stock Exchange in August. The product with the highest turnover was ZXBTAV on Bitcoin, with CHF 29.1 million; it was also the most traded product with 793 transactions.
