In recent years, regulatory developments in European equity capital markets have been changing and not in favour of listed companies. The shift is impacting corporate issuers in various ways, including the practice of investor engagement and the visibility of especially smaller companies to investors. As a response to this, the Swiss Stock Exchange has initiated a new service called “Bridge” that will facilitate the interaction between equity issuers and investors.

The core of Bridge is a consolidated corporate calendar published on the website of the Swiss Stock Exchange. SIX-listed companies as well as institutional investors both benefit from this free new service.

Issuers are more visible to investors and at the same time gain better insight into the corporate calendars of their peers, which enables them to choose the ideal date for their investor days, roadshows, conference calls or AGMs.

Investors benefit from consolidated information being made available on a neutral platform and thus are supported in taking educated investment decisions. They can even register directly for an issuer’s event or request an interaction with a SIX-listed company on the respective company’s profile.

“Bridge is on pulse with the industry by facilitating the interaction of issuers and investors in a centralized, simple and efficient manner. It has been developed by gathering expert perspectives from our network of listed companies, the buy-side and our own expert advisors” says Andrea von Bartenwerffer, Head Issuer Relations, Primary Markets, SIX Swiss Exchange.

Numerous advantages for issuers
Bridge is not the only service the Swiss Stock Exchange offers its equity issuers. The Issuer Relations team from the Swiss Stock Exchange provides expert advice to companies after they go public. Besides the ability to take part in informative, educational and networking events, the team provides updates on all topics relating to market information, data and regulatory provisions. The Swiss Stock Exchange also offers its Stage Program to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) increase visibility in the market and among key stakeholders. An overview of all information and services can be found on our website.
