Previously, we explored Revolutionizing Financial Intelligence Through AI and how SIX continues to pursue innovation across the financial ecosystem. In this new edition, we take a closer look at how tools powered by AI are already reshaping the industry. To illustrate this perspective through practical use cases, we invited Bridgewise, a valued SIX partner applying AI to broaden access to investment knowledge. In the following interview, Daniel Fernandez, Senior Business Development Manager at SIX, and Dor Eligula, Co-Founder & CBO of Bridgewise, share their insights and discuss how this collaboration creates further opportunities for clients, underlining the role of SIX as a financial market infrastructure provider.
How is SIX leveraging Bridgewise to enhance the investor experience?
Daniel Fernandez: Innovation is crucial in today’s fast paced world, and strategic partnerships are key in maintaining a competitive edge. One example of such a collaboration is the enhancement of our product, SIX iD, our intuitive software tool designed for financial professionals.
By integrating Bridgewise into the SIX iD platform, we add value for investors through AI-driven financial analysis, giving them faster and deeper insights. This includes coverage of around 90% of globally listed stocks, with features such as detailed fundamental analysis, ESG analysis, and more.
What I personally find most exciting about this integration is Bridget, a conversational AI chatbot built specifically for investment and capital markets. It offers fast, personalized answers to complex market questions. To me, this represents the future of banking and investment. Investors can now receive well-informed answers in just a matter of seconds in their own language. Dor, why don’t you tell us more about Bridget?
Dor Eligula: Of course, so, Bridget has been developed based on in-depth expertise in analyzing financial instruments. It doesn’t just connect to data, it connects to the insights and intelligence that Bridgewise has compiled over years of working with complex datasets. Most importantly, Bridget is fully compliant with strict regulatory standards, having been designed from the ground up for security and reliability, which increases users confidence in the quality and trustworthiness of its outputs.
In what ways is AI addressing challenges and reshaping the financial industry?
Dor Eligula: When you consider the financial and capital markets, they are perhaps the most data-rich environments out there, and regulations require much of that data to be public. Even the most seasoned professional investors and analysts can’t keep up with it all. This complexity creates significant gaps in expertise, time, and resources. Not every professional can cover the entire range of data, and retail investors face the same challenge. That’s where AI-powered investment intelligence steps in, offering exceptional value through global coverage, available in a format that’s easy for anyone to understand.
Daniel Fernandez: Building on that, according to our latest Future of Finance report, a global survey of nearly 300 senior executives, the appeal of artificial intelligence is undeniable. For the second consecutive year, it ranks as their top technology priority. Leaders and their organizations are actively exploring new opportunities to harness AI to drive greater success, from improving risk management and compliance to boosting client engagement and developing innovative new products. The report also shows that executives see AI as key to increasing operational efficiency and gaining a competitive edge in a fast-evolving market.
What are the most promising AI-driven opportunities for retail and institutional investors today?
Dor Eligula: I think it is bridging skill gaps. Whether you are a professional or retail investor, with the help of AI, you can now better understand any stock or global fund in your own language, presented in a simplified and interactive way. Many of these investors are interested not only in their local markets but also in global opportunities. Our ability to reduce these gaps is what we call financial inclusion.
Daniel Fernandez: I fully agree with Dor. Another key benefit is the scalability of these AI-driven solutions processing vast amounts of market data, screening for ESG factors, or identifying emerging trends. We see these developments as a win-win, enhancing efficiency in the financial markets overall.
