In the 1st quarter of 2023, trading turnover in ETFs on SIX Swiss Exchange amounted to CHF 15.47 billion. It was thus up 8.39% on that of the fourth quarter and down by 55.79% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Compared to the previous quarter, the number of trades increased by 25.18%. Over 1,698 ETFs: Wide Range for Investors

The number of ETFs listed on SIX Swiss Exchange increased by 38 in the 1st quarter to a total of 1,698 as of 31 March 2023. The main focus of the new listings still related to sustainability.

The ranking of the most traded ETFs was newly headed by the UBS ETF on the MSCI Australia in the 1st quarter. As can be seen from the composition of the Top-20, investors were heavily exposed to commodities, commodity countries or commodity equities. Second place went to CSSPX, an ETF from iShares on the S&P 500 Index. It documents the increased interest in the American market, especially at the beginning of this year.
