About the Ethos Swiss Corporate Governance Index

The Ethos Swiss Corporate Governance Index measures the performance of SPI components under the constraint of Corporate Governance best practice. Its rule based approach (see rulebook below) reduces exposure to serious governance risks by underweighting or excluding some issuers with such risks. The risks include, among others, an opting up/out clause, an unequal capital structure or the combination of chairman and CEO positions. The methodology also reduces exposure to ESG serious controversies and aims at an improved carbon profile of the Index.
