Yes, all self-study documents may be used during the examination (Open Book).

Q: Can the exam be repeated if I do not pass?

Yes, the exam can be repeated as often as you like. A new registration is required.

Q: In which languages can the examination be completed?

The examination can be completed in German and English.

Q: How many questions have to be answered during the examination?

50 questions have to be answered. To pass the examination, 70% of the answers have to be correct.

Q: Can I determine the time of the exam at the participant's location (remote) myself?

Yes, you can freely arrange this with your responsible Head Exam. The login remains valid for 6 months.

Q: How long does the exam take?

You have 1 hour. When the time is up, the system will automatically end the exam.

Q: How can I ensure I am fully prepared for the examination?

Study the preparatory documents (theory and practice document). In addition, a trader training by SIX Repo AG can be attended.

Q: How is the examination structured?

The examination is completed online and comprises a series of multiple-choice questions. The result is displayed online after the completion of the examination.

Only authorised traders may trade on the SIX Repo AG platform. The training is aimed at all Repo Traders who wish to acquire this professional qualification and familiarise themselves with the CO:RE trading platform and the Collateral Cockpit. It also serves as preparation for the trader examination, which can be taken separately afterwards or in the comfort of your own office.

Repo Trader Training

The focus of the training is on practice. The traders work with the CO:RE trading platform and the Collateral Cockpit and learn how to use them practically. The exercises are done in our test environment and offer the opportunity to practice by using real world cases from daily business in a realistic way. The Repo team who leads the course, provides you with the information how to use the systems.

Repo Trader Examination

At SIX Repo Ltd
We regularly offer the possibility to take the exam at the SIX premises in Zurich. The examination is completed under the supervision of SIX Repo Ltd.

At Participant’s premises
Following prior registration, the examination can be completed online by the trader at the Participant’s premises. The Participant is responsible for ensuring the proper handling of the examination. The responsible Head Exam (Compliance Officer) receives the login data and all the information required by the trader to complete the examination following the registration.

The candidate is free to choose when to take the examination. The login data remains valid for 6 months from the time of registration.

New Head Exam (Compliance officer) registrations or any changes in personnel, have to be notified to SIX Repo Ltd using the following form:

Examination at SIX Repo Ltd: The examination is completed at the premises of SIX in Zurich. Further information can be found under Examination.

Examination at Participant's premises: Following registration for the examination, the responsible Head Exam (Compliance Officer) of the respective candidate receives the login data for the trader. The Head Exam is responsible for ensuring the proper handling of the examination. SIX Repo Ltd. sends the Repo Trader Certificate directly to the traders by e-mail upon them successfully passing the examination.
