Membership Categories
SMAG comprises both voting and non-voting representatives, including:
Permanent Members with Voting Rights: Representatives from SIX and its CSD members.
Non-Voting Representatives: Key stakeholders such as issuer representatives, industry associations, and working group chairs.
Membership is capped to ensure a focused and effective decision-making process.
Nomination Process – Members are nominated by their respective institutions or associations. All representatives actively contribute by:
- Sharing insights from their organizations
- Collaborating on agenda items and recommendations
- Promoting awareness of SMAG’s initiatives within their networks
How We Operate
Meetings
- Frequency: Held twice annually, with additional ad-hoc meetings as needed
- Format: Meetings can be conducted in-person or virtually
- Language: English is the official language
Task Forces
Temporary task forces are established to address specific topics, drawing on the technical expertise of members and external specialists. Task force outcomes are presented and discussed during SMAG meetings.
Decision-Making
