Efficiently Connected via SIX
SIX connects banks as issuers directly to the TWINT scheme, which is based on an open four-party model. The parties involved are issuers, acquirers, merchants, and consumers.

About the Service
SIX offers a wide range of functionalities for a smooth TWINT connection.
Transaction Processing & Fraud Management
SIX verifies every transaction and performs a risk check. This allows them to detect and prevent potential fraud early on. If a TWINT account is linked to a bank account, every authorization request is sent to you via OTIS for verification. If the TWINT issuer cannot be reached, SIX will authorize the transaction using the stand-in limits that you define.
Account Management
SIX allows TWINT issuers and their service providers to fully manage TWINT accounts via the "Debit Online XML" interface. Account creation, updating, blocking, and closure functions are available, as is flexible management of linked accounts and device certificates. A direct system connection allows for seamless integration into the issuer’s systems.
Fraud and Transaction Reporting
SIX provides comprehensive fraud reports to help you efficiently analyze transactions. Standardized reports compare transactions and can be split into multiple files if needed. We also offer transaction reconciliation in the camt.053 format via file transfer for transaction reconciliation.
TWINT Full Support
The SIX Customer Service Center (CSC) provides full support for TWINT on behalf of the issuer. The service includes:
- 24/7 customer support in German, French, Italian, and English
- Support with onboarding, reboarding, and device changes
- Help with transactions and account management
- Account blocking
- Reduction of issuers' workload and minimization of fraud risks
