Amendment to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD)

At the 31st ACSB Meeting in November 2019, new updates were adopted to Annexes II, III, VI of the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) on cosmetic products.

The following information summarizes the changes to cosmetic ingredient lists which are implemented immediately.

Next Step:

Industry should keep updates to the ACD annexes in order to ensure that their cosmetic ingredients are complied with the latest regulatory requirement, especially the use of preservatives, Phenylmercuric salts (including borate) and Thiomersal, which are no longer allowed.
